Electric vehicle charging infrastructure provider, FOR EV, has launched a new rapid charging hub at Mains of Drum Garden Centre.
Located on the A93 between Peterculter and Banchory, the new rapid chargers can deliver up to 200kW and provide the typical EV with 150 miles of range in 20-30mins. The hub has two dual charge points which can charge four electric vehicles simultaneously. Whilst charging their EV, drivers can head into the award-winning restaurant to enjoy anything from coffee and a cake to delicious hand-crafted specials along with a wide range of amenities.
The completion marks the latest of three sites in Aberdeen, including recently launched charging hubs at Tesco Express on Great Northern Road and St Machar Drive on King Street.
Craig Forbes, operations manager at Mains of Drum, said: "We are delighted to partner with FOR EV and offer this essential service to our customers and visitors. The new charging hub aligns with our commitment to sustainability and providing convenient amenities."
Lindsay Yeoman, head of sales at FOR EV, said: “We are excited to bring this charging hub to Mains of Drum as we expand our network in Aberdeen. We are committed to providing reliable and efficient charging solutions that support businesses and fleets while on the road. Our robust network and user-friendly charge points are designed to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency for commercial EV fleets.”
