The Belmont Community Cinema team will open the doors to the currently closed building on Saturday 6 September for Doors Open Day, and as part of The Big Belmont Bash.
Come along to meet the team, see the refurbishment plans, and hear about how the fundraising campaign is progressing.
There will also be the opportunity to take a tour of the projection booth with demonstrations of the 35mm projector equipment by trustee and projectionist Dallas King.
Talk: Doors Open Day - A Window into The Belmont's Past and Opening Doors to its Future

As part of Doors Open Day, Belmont Community Cinema CEO, Matt Buchanan, will bring audience members into the closed Belmont Cinema Screen 1, to explore the cinema of the past, update visitors on the project to reopen the doors as a truly independent community cinema, and walk you through our vision for the future.

Talk: Doors Open Day - Representing the Past in Film through the Architecture of Scotland
Saturday 6 September, 1pm at The Belmont Cinema
Visit The Belmont on Doors Open Day for a talk exploring the use of Scotland's architecture in film to create a sense of time and place in cinematic storytelling.
This talk will also give audiences a chance to see inside the currently closed Belmont Cinema and support the charity's mission to reopen a truly independent cinema for the people of Aberdeen and the North-east of Scotland.

Saturday 6 September, 4pm at The Belmont Cinema
Visit The Belmont on Doors Open Day for a talk about the iconic cinema's community, the special moments shared at the Belmont Cinema, and how it can create new memories.
This talk will share stories submitted during the Save the Belmont Campaign, special moments from the cinema's history and provide an update on the cinema project, and how people can come together now to start creating new memories again.
