Free Dublin trial from Travel by Knight

A new travel concept that combines transport and accommodation into one handy package is moving up a gear in the North-east.

Travel by Knight launched in October as the UK’s first sleeper minicoach. It uses a converted Mercedes Sprinter but instead of seats comes equipped with 12 sleeping berths, allowing small groups to be picked up late at night and sleep comfortably while they travel to destinations around the UK.

Ideal for medium sized business groups going away for a one day conference, sports groups going for a weekend competition, students going to an event, or even backpackers trying to maximise their short stay holiday in Scotland from the Central Belt - the Sleeper Minicoach can even tow a trailer for additional luggage or equipment.

Each private berth is equipped with air conditioning, a magazine rack, reading light, charge ports for USB/3 pin socket, and a complimentary Travel By Knight facial wipe to freshen up in the morning.

Founder Alan Aim is looking to target Aberdeenshire organisations looking to save time and money by overnight, over the border travel, particularly oil and gas commuters who travel up from North-east England to depart offshore from Dyce.

A free trial run to Dublin is scheduled for a Wednesday 6 June, departing Aberdeen at 2200hrs, with a return from Dublin at 2030hrs on June 7, arriving back into Aberdeen for 0730hrs on Friday 8.

“No flights from Aberdeen could allow a business traveller to attend a 10:00-18:30 conference in Dublin without having to sacrifice Wednesday afternoon and all day Friday away from work,” said Alan.
