North East Scotland College is
preparing to open applications from employers to access free training for their
staff.
The Scottish Government has
confirmed the Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) will continue in 2023.
The fund enables free training
to be accessed by Apprenticeship Levy payers as well as SMEs – providing
options for every company of any size.
A
range of courses dedicated to upskilling and reskilling have already been
accessed by North East businesses as part of the current round of financial
support.
The
next tranche, for training delivered in 2023, will be allocated on a first-come
first-served basis. Applications are expected to open in January.
Iain Cocker, NESCol’s Business
Development Manager, said: “Through the FWDF we have successfully delivered
training worth millions of pounds in recent years.
“Organisations across the North
East have benefited from both the access to funding and the tailored support
that NESCol provides to ensure we can meet the needs of every sector.
“We look forward to opening
applications in the New Year and already registering notes of interest from
employers who are keen to explore the opportunities for the year ahead. Our
team is always available to discuss requirements and ensure the application
process is as straightforward as possible.”
