Aberdeen's iconic Woolmanhill Hospital could be brought back into use as the council reveals it has held "positive discussions" with owner The Scotsman Group.
The prominent building has lain abandoned and fallen into a state of disrepair since the NHS moved out almost 10 years ago.
In that time, various ideas to bring the A-listed site back to life but none have come to fruition.
But now, The Press and Journal reports Aberdeen City Council has held "positive discussions" with The Scotsman Group, including carrying out a new assessment to determine the condition of the historic building.
The results of that survey will then “inform ongoing discussions with the owner”.
The development comes as new boarding has been installed around the building to secure it and prevent further damage being caused.
