Betting firm Paddy Power is to close 57 shops across the UK and Republic of Ireland, after a review of its high street estate.
It has confirmed that 247 staff are at risk of redundancy, with 128 of those in the UK and 119 in the Republic of Ireland.
A total of 29 shops are to close in the UK, including one in Northern Ireland, with 28 to go in the Republic.

'Wrong' to block Tel Aviv fans from Aston Villa match, says PM
Blocking Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from attending an Aston Villa match is the "wrong decision", the prime minister has said.
Followers of the Israeli team will not be allowed to attend the Europa League match between the sides on 6 November because of safety concerns, the body responsible for issuing safety certificates for matches said on Thursday.
Sir Keir Starmer criticised the move, saying "we will not tolerate antisemitism on our streets" and that the role of police was "to ensure all football fans can enjoy the game, without fear of violence or intimidation".

NatureScot accused of putting ‘nuisance’ seagulls before people
Nature bosses are facing new claims that they are prioritising the welfare of “nuisance” seagulls over people after a surge in the number of blocked applications to remove the birds.
New figures show that as recently as 2022, more than 80% of applications to remove gulls and nests, which have been blamed for increasingly common “divebombing” attacks in rural areas, were approved.
However, the figure dropped to less than a third last year, leading to new demands that NatureScot, the Scottish government agency, is stripped of its ability to rule on applications while also holding a remit to protect bird numbers.
