GB Tarpaulins, the Aberdeen-based supplier of bespoke tarpaulins, covers, cargo bags and securing equipment, has announced its sponsorship of the Midsummer Beer Happening, taking place at Baird Park, Stonehaven from 11th to 13th June 2026.
The sponsorship comes as Szymon and Sophie Burzynski settle into their roles as the new owners of GB Tarpaulins, having recently completed a buyout of the family business. The decision to back the event reflects the company’s commitment to supporting local communities across the north-east.
Szymon Burzynski said: “Getting behind events like the Midsummer Beer Happening is exactly the kind of thing we want to do as we take GB Tarpaulins forward. It’s a great weekend for the local community and we’re proud to play a part in it.”
Sophie Burzynski added: “We’re really looking forward to being involved. The north-east has a fantastic community spirit and supporting events like this is a great way for us to give something back as we grow the business.”
A well-established fixture on the north-east events calendar, the Midsummer Beer Happening features over 150 craft beers and ciders, live music across the weekend and artisan street food. The event also includes a cycling sportive through Deeside, taking on the Cairn o’Mount, with festival entry at the finish line.
GB Tarpaulins works with customers across oil and gas, agriculture, logistics and transport, supplying practical solutions designed to protect equipment and materials in demanding working environments. The business serves clients across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and the wider UK.
