GB Tarpaulins has continued its support for the local community by sponsoring this year’s Midsummer Beer Happening, which raised £45,000 for good causes across Stonehaven and the surrounding area.
The volunteer-led festival welcomed around 5,000 people across three days, with this year’s fundraising total bringing the amount raised since the event began in 2009 to £473,000.
GB Tarpaulins was one of the sponsors supporting the 2026 event, helping the festival deliver another successful weekend of beer, music, food and community fundraising.
This year’s beneficiaries included Stonehaven Fireballs Ceremony, Stonehaven Men’s Shed, Stonehaven Sea Cadets, Stonehaven Air Cadets, Stonehaven Amateur Swimming Club, Friends of Kincardine Community Hospital, Stonehaven Land Train, Mackie RFC Youth, Stonehaven & District Lions Club, Rhythm Dance Nation, Stonehaven Folk Festival, Home-Start, Stonehaven Youth Club, Stonehaven Youth FC, Stonehaven Scouts, Stonehaven Guides, Pillar and Dunnottar Pipes & Drums.
The festival has become a major date in the North-east events calendar, bringing together volunteers, sponsors, breweries, musicians, food vendors and visitors in support of local organisations.
