With just a few weeks remaining until schools break up for the summer, families across Aberdeen are being encouraged to secure places on this year's RGC Camps programme, which features specialist football, rugby, hockey and netball camps throughout the school holidays.
Led by
experienced RGC teachers and coaches, the camps offer children the opportunity
to stay active, develop new skills and build confidence while enjoying a safe
and supportive sporting environment throughout the summer holidays.
Based at
Robert Gordon's College's Countesswells Sports Field, camp attendees benefit
from access to outstanding facilities, including 32 acres of grass playing
surfaces and a further seven acres of synthetic pitches and supporting
facilities, providing the ideal setting for young people to learn, develop and
enjoy sport.
For many
parents, the countdown to the school holidays also brings the challenge of
organising childcare and activities throughout the break. RGC Camps provides a
practical solution, combining structured activities, expert supervision and
high-quality facilities in a welcoming environment. Early drop-off and late
pick-up options are also available to help families fit camps around work
commitments.
Mr McLeod, Director of Sport at Robert Gordon’s College, said: "Our sports camps are always one of the highlights of the summer. With a firm focus on participation, these camps give children the chance to stay active, learn new skills, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun - all while developing a genuine love of sport."
While sport remains at the heart of the programme, RGC Camps also offers a broad range of activity camps for children from P1 to S6. From creative and hands-on experiences to outdoor adventures and themed activities, the wider programme provides additional options for families looking for engaging holiday experiences during the summer break.
Together, the sports and activity camps reflect RGC Camps' commitment to providing memorable experiences for children of all interests and abilities. Whether a child is passionate about football, rugby, hockey or netball, or is looking to try something new, there is an RGC Camp for every child this summer.
With demand increasing as the holidays draw nearer, parents are encouraged to book soon to avoid disappointment. Full details of camp dates, age groups and availability can be found on the RGC Camps website.
