Aberdeen’s former Debenhams store could be transformed into a major leisure destination featuring electric go-karts, food and drink venues and potentially a bowling alley.
New plans for the Trinity Centre show attractions spread across three levels of the department store, which has been largely vacant since Debenhams closed in 2021.
The final mix of operators has yet to be agreed, with planning papers stating: “The specific mix and arrangement of uses across three levels will be finalised once potential vendors are fully signed up.”
The proposals form part of wider efforts to increase footfall at the Trinity Centre, which has recently moved to 24-hour car parking and is installing new escalators.
