St Margaret’s pupils recently took part in the UK Maths Trust Junior Mathematical Challenge with outstanding results!
Across first and second year, a total of 27 students received awards. Six girls earned prestigious Gold Awards, 13 achieved Silver, and eight were awarded Bronze, an incredible achievement reflecting their hard work and mathematical talent.
The Junior Mathematical Challenge consists of a 60-minute, 25 multiple choice test and is part of the UK Maths Trust’s drive to advance the education of young people in Maths. The Trust coordinates national and international maths challenges for young people designed to inspire a love of problem-solving through Maths.
In addition to the success in the Junior Mathematical Challenge, the School is very proud to announce that four of our pupils, Tasneem and Jenny (Second Year) and Penny and Yoonjae (First Year), have been invited to take part in the Junior Kangaroo, the next round of this nationally recognised competition.
Mrs Bryce, Head of Maths at St Margaret’s, said: "This invitation is a testament to their exceptional performance and places them among the top young mathematicians in the country! Every girl who took part should be incredibly proud of all their hard work and mathematical talent”.
