Businesses in the North East can get their hands on free support and funding to cut their energy, water and waste bills when Sustainable Business Week takes place next week (November 20 – 24 ).
Sustainable Business Week is being run by Zero Waste Scotland’s Resource Efficient Scotland programme, in partnership with Aberdeen City Council, as part of its ‘Powering Aberdeen’ programme, Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce.
Funded by the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund, Resource Efficient Scotland provides free, impartial and independent advice, as well as interest-free loans and grants, to small and medium-sized business (SMEs). The programme has already uncovered over £42 million worth of savings for Scottish organisations – a whopping 24% energy saving per business on average.
With free events taking place across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, Sustainable Business Week is making it even easier for your business to get a share of those savings too.
All the events are free and include breakfast briefings at the AECC on Tuesday 21 and Inverurie on Wednesday 22, a CPD-certified training workshop at Pittodrie on Thursday 23 and a behind-the-scenes tour of Mackie’s of Scotland on Friday 24.
This is an ideal opportunity to make sure business is accessing all the free support and funding available, to see what other businesses have already achieved, and to provide staff with valuable skills development training.
