Grampian Training Services are supporting the British Heart Foundations ‘Restart a Heart’ day on Monday, October 16.
The aim is to raise awareness of cardiac arrests and the benefit of CPR training combined with the early use of a defibrillator. Over 130,000 people die every year from a cardiac arrest, 13% of which happen in the workplace. The survival rate drops 10% every minute without defibrillation. More than half of these lives lost could have been saved if an AED had been available in the first few minutes according to the British Heart Foundation.
As a Zoll Business Partner, Grampian Training Services are offering the chance to win a Zoll AED+ defibrillator. The AED+ is a simple to use defibrillator that talks the rescuer through the potentially lifer saving operation. To enter the draw, you need to go to the Facebook pages for BOTH Grampian Training Services and Schools First Aid Training Services CIC, like, follow and share. The winner will be drawn from those who have done all three on both pages.
Grampian Training Services delivers HSE approved First Aid training to a variety of clients at very competitive rates. Courses range from the one day Emergency First Aid at Work courses, through the three day First Aid at Work course up to the advanced FREC 3 level training.
