A huge thank you to the Aberdeen Jazz Festival, Aberdeen City Council, and everyone involved in organising the incredible event at Gray Court on Friday March 20 2026.

A huge thank you also to Susan McCathie and the amazing jazz trio for putting on an incredible show, everyone had an amazing time!

Last month, Gray Court came alive with the vibrant sounds of the Aberdeen Jazz Festival, with a performance that delighted the audience of all ages. The festival remains a highlight of Aberdeen and Bon Accord Care, and this year was no exception!

The residents and staff of Gray Court were thrilled that the festival had invited Bon Accord Care once again to host one of its events. Last year an event was held at Margaret Clyne Court with legends Marisha and Jim Addison, who put on a fantastic performance for the residents of multiple services, Margaret Clyne Court, Janesfield Manor and Mark Bush Court.

The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. With people smiling all around, singing along, and even dancing during the event.

Care at Home Service Supervisor, Helena McKerron said: “The jazz festival that was held in Gray Court was a fantastic success. The tenants that attended really enjoyed it. They are still talking weeks later on what a great afternoon it was. It was great to see how the songs prompted memories. It was also great for getting them active when they were up dancing. They are asking if we can have another one!

"Thank you all so much for making it a great afternoon.”

Bon Accord Care is proud to have been part of this year’s Jazz Festival once again. Thank you to all who helped make the Gray Court performance such a success. Bon Accord Care looks forward to more opportunities to welcome incredible artists and future Jazz Festivals.
