St Margaret’s Braemar will welcome Great British Bake Off winner Peter Sawkins for a special live event, Talking Cakes with Peter Bakes, on Saturday 25 April 2026.
Audiences can expect an entertaining and interactive evening as Peter shares stories from his baking journey, discusses all things cakes and bakes, and puts a special guest’s skills to the test live on stage.
Peter, the youngest ever winner of the hit TV show and its first Scottish champion, has gone on to publish bestselling baking books, build a large online following, and perform his own Edinburgh Festival Fringe show.
For this one-off Braemar event, he will be joined by fellow Bake Off winner and fan favourite Rahul Mandal, promising a, humorous and engaging evening for food lovers and fans alike. There will even be a chance for the audience to get involved, making this a truly unique night out.

Peter Sawkins said: “I can't wait to bring my show to Braemar along with my good friend and fellow BakeOff winner, Rahul!
“We played to a sold-out audience at the Edinburgh Fringe together, and I can't wait for us to do this again with even more challenges, laughs and behind-the-scenes stories from the big white tent.
“I love performing these shows, and I really think it's one of the most wholesome and enjoyable evenings out for any baking fans. I'll hope to see you there!”
St Margaret’s Venue Manager Lyndsey Boden added:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Peter and Rahul to St Margaret’s this month.
“It’s going to be a fantastic night for both Bake Off fans and the uninitiated alike.”
St Margaret’s Braemar continues to build a diverse programme, transforming the historic venue into a vibrant hub for arts, culture and live events. Doors open from 7:30pm for the 25th April show and tickets are available now on the St Margaret's website.
