On Saturday August 14, the Miscarriage Information Support Service welcomed visitors to the launch of their new office space at the Balmoral Business Hub in Cove, Aberdeen.
This event follows the success of their virtual auction in July which raised £1082.
At the launch, guests were able to learn more about the charity and speak to volunteers. Gannets of Laurencekirk supplied refreshments and local business Zen Weddings provided floral decorations for the event. MISS welcomed other businesses and organisations to attend and also representatives from NHS Grampian.
The new office space will function as a hub where valuable in-person support groups and one-on-one sessions will resume and will store the charity’s memory boxes and support packs. As it contains desk space, there will also be an area for volunteers and members to work and socialise after over a year of working remotely.
Abi Clarke, founder of MISS said: "We are delighted to take this step forward with having a hub for MISS where our volunteers and staff can safely work, and where members can attend groups and 1:1 sessions. This also means I don't need to use my garage anymore for storage which my husband will be happy with!”
MISS would like to thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to their next social event.
