Staff at Aberdeen-based chartered accountancy firm Hall Morrice are lacing up their trainers and getting active to raise funds for two local charities through the Aberdeen FC Community Trust’s Big Red 50 Day 5K Challenge.
Running from 11 May to 29 June 2026, the initiative will see members of the Hall Morrice team commit to completing 5K of activity every day for 50 consecutive days, with funds raised split between Aberdeen FC Community Trust and Befriend a Child.
Participants from Hall Morrice include Bob Bain, Louise Smith, Mike Innes, Faye Gill, Aimee Leslie, Annemarie McVey, Bethany Hughes, Chloe Hunter, Cassandra Egan and Hannah Stevens, will take part alongside many other businesses and individuals from across Aberdeen and the North East.
The Big Red 50 Day 5K Challenge encourages participants to improve their physical and mental wellbeing by completing a daily 5K activity, whether through walking, running, cycling, swimming or other forms of exercise. Funds raised will help support the ongoing work of Aberdeen FC Community Trust and provide local children and young people supported by Befriend a Child with opportunities to create positive childhood memories.
Commenting on the challenge, Bob Bain said: “We are proud to be taking part in this fantastic community fundraising challenge alongside so many other businesses and individuals across Aberdeen and the North East. Supporting charities that make an impact within our local communities is incredibly important to us at Hall Morrice.
“The challenge also reflects many of the values that sit at the heart of our firm: teamwork, commitment and supporting one another to achieve shared goals. While balancing the demands of a busy and growing business, our team has embraced the opportunity to get active, support wellbeing and fundraise.”
