Healthoutfit, a workplace health and wellbeing consultancy with 25 years' experience serving organisations across the UK, has announced the launch of two free resources designed to help small and medium companies develop effective employee wellbeing programmes.
The newly released Workplace Wellbeing Mini Audit and Designing Your Employee Health & Wellbeing Plan provide organisations with practical, evidence-based frameworks aligned with UK best practice including HSE Management Standards, NICE guidance, and the Thriving at Work review.
"We've spent 25 years working with organisations to develop wellbeing strategies that actually work in the real world," said Steve McIntosh, Managing Director at Healthoutfit. "Too often, workplace wellbeing becomes a tick-box exercise focused on fruit bowls and step challenges whilst ignoring the fundamental issues affecting employee health. These resources give organisations a practical roadmap to build something meaningful."
The Workplace Wellbeing Mini Audit
The 15-20 minute self-assessment tool evaluates organisational wellbeing provision across six key areas: strategic commitment and leadership, mental health support, physical health, working environment, data and evaluation, and communication and culture.
Designing Your Employee Health & Wellbeing Plan
The comprehensive 10-step guide takes businesses through the complete process of building a workplace wellbeing strategy, from securing leadership commitment through to evaluation and continuous improvement. The guide emphasises practical, achievable actions whilst maintaining focus on evidence-based interventions.
Key features include:
- Practical 90-day action plan for organisations starting from scratch
- Evidence-based frameworks including primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions
- Common pitfalls to avoid
- Sector-specific and organisation size considerations
- Integration with UK legal requirements
"The perfect wellbeing programme doesn't exist," Steve noted. "But a good-enough programme that’s implemented beats a perfect plan that stays in the drawer. Wellbeing isn’t an initiative, it’s an experience. These resources support organisations to create workplaces where people feel valued, safe, and able to thrive in the flow of their everyday work”.
Both documents are available for immediate download - at no cost - from the Resources section at https://healthoutfit.co.uk/. Healthoutfit also offers consultancy services for organisations requiring additional support in developing and implementing workplace wellbeing strategies.
