Hilton Aberdeen TECA is proud to highlight the continued impact of Head Chef Craig McLenan, who has now been in the role for several months and is already making his mark on the hotel’s culinary offering.

With 17 years of experience in hospitality, Craig’s journey into becoming a chef was an unexpected one. After leaving school unsure of his career path, he was encouraged to find work and soon found himself in a kitchen, sparking what would become a long and successful career.

Before joining Hilton, Craig spent two years working and travelling across Australia, gaining valuable international experience. A standout moment during this time was working in South Australia’s only Red Hat restaurant, where he further developed his skills and passion for high-quality cuisine.

Reflecting on his role, Craig said: “What I enjoy most is that no two days are ever the same. Each day brings new challenges, which keeps the role exciting and constantly evolving.”

Over the past few months, Craig has been focused on enhancing the hotel’s food offering, with several exciting developments in the pipeline. One of the highlights includes plans to reintroduce a traditional afternoon tea experience in the coming months.

These developments come as the hotel prepares to launch a new menu in the Quarter House Restaurant on Friday 3rd April, designed to elevate the dining experience for both guests and local visitors.
