Two leading North-east energy businesses, i-Protech and Evolve Energy Network, have announced an exciting new partnership with the launch of i-Protech (Renewables Ltd).
Based in Elrick, the new company combines i-Protech’s established strength in solar PV and battery storage with Evolve Energy’s extensive expertise in renewable heating. The partnership marks a significant step forward in creating fully integrated, future-ready energy systems for both domestic and commercial clients.
i-Protech (Renewables Ltd) will provide a comprehensive range of technologies including air and ground source heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage, Mechanical Ventilation with heat Recovery (MVHR), underfloor heating, EV charging integration as well as ongoing servicing, repairs and aftercare.
Founded in 2015 by Stuart Munro, i-Protech is widely recognised for its solar and battery installations across the North and North-east. The addition of air source heat pumps positions the business as a one-stop shop for whole-home renewable energy systems.
In 2022, Evolve Energy Network was set up by Steve Anderson, one of the region’s leading specialists in the design, installation, commissioning, servicing and repairs of air and ground source heat pumps. The accredited company delivers projects across Scotland and is supported by Steve’s wider network through Aberdeen Training Centre.
i-Protech Director Stuart Munro said the decision to join forces was a natural progression for the companies with the combined expertise of both providing a competitive edge.
“This partnership allows us to grow the business and become a recognised installer and supplier of air and ground source heat pumps, while also offering ongoing maintenance,” he said.
“Steve’s knowledge and experience in renewable heating systems, compliance, and engineer training make this a perfect fit for our expansion into renewables.”
Steve said: “This is an exciting new venture for both i-Protech and Evolve Energy, and forms part of a longer-term strategy to deliver complete renewable home packages.
“Our systems are designed for private homeowners and businesses, particularly in rural areas off the mains gas network, looking to reduce running costs, improve comfort, and achieve greater energy independence.”
i-Protech (Renewables Ltd) will launch with two core staff members supported by two subcontractors, with recruitment planned as demand grows. Customers will also benefit from access to relevant grants and incentives, helping reduce the cost of transitioning to low-carbon systems.
