Deeside Design Studio is the name of an office which has been created out of a flooded shop in the heart of Ballater.
The property – at 28 Bridge Street - has undergone complete refurbishment, and opened as a branch of Ian Rodger Architects at the end of May 2016.
Ian Rodger could see the potential for expanding into Deeside, especially as his associate Sarah Russell is a local of Ballater. Sarah is now based in the Ballater office, and is maximising her extensive local knowledge & contacts.
The new office space is also being utilised by quantity surveyor David Cobban, who also lives in Ballater and is a director of McCue & Porter in Aberdeen.
Ian Rodger has praised the strong community spirit in Ballater, and the fact that so many local businesses and people have given the new office a warm welcome. In turn Ian Rodger Architects has sponsored an event at the recent Ballater Highland Games, and has joined Ballater Business Association.
With Deeside Design Studio being on the main street in Ballater work has literally been walking through the door. Sarah is working on a number of local projects; varying between community groups, affordable housing development, and individual house alterations & extensions.
