One of Aberdeen's most stunning and recognisable buildings, the Aberdeen Salvation Army Citadel at the Castlegate, is set to hit the market.
Sitting at the foot of the Granite Mile, the church building's magnificent granite facade and stained glass windows are a major landmark in the city centre, but weather damage is now set to force its sale.
The Press and Journal reports heavy rain in February caused substantial water ingress and has left the building without heating or running water.
Now, The P&J has revealed the iconic B-listed building is to be sold, with a £475,000 asking price.
The footprint of the building at 27-30 Castle Street encompasses over 21,000 sq ft across basement, ground, first, second and attic levels.
The property is to be marketed by Graham + Sibbald.
