On Thursday, March 29, ICR, global provider of integrated maintenance and integrity solutions to the Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, Nuclear and Defence industries, celebrated the official opening of their new headquarters in Aberdeen.
Group CEO Bill Bayliss hosted the Grand Opening Event for around 200 guests who enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming evening at their new premises. Guests included staff, clients, suppliers and key industry players.
The new ICR headquarters combines nine offices and warehouses from across Aberdeen and integrated the various group of companies. This is already seeing a transformation in business operations and shows a real commitment to the North-East Oil & Gas supply chain.
The marquee event, kicked off with special guest speaker Ellis Watson, DC Thomson Media’s chief executive who officially opened the new facility. Ellis shared some of his business insights into organisational cultures evolving to bring growth and success. Ellis commented on the night, “What a lovely launch to be part of. ICR are fantastically positioned to make the most of the opportunities ahead and I’m delighted to be included in the launch of their new home”.
ICR’s charity of choice in 2018 is UCAN – Aberdeen’s urological cancer charity and together they aim to raise the awareness of urological cancers in businesses and communities throughout the North of Scotland. ICR made a donation on the night and the funds will be used towards the expansion of the specialist nurse team based in Aberdeen as well as the purchase of an MRI directed biopsying machine for early prostate cancer diagnosis.
Justine Royle, chair of UCAN and Consultant Urological Surgeon said “We are very grateful to ICR for choosing UCAN as their charity to support at the opening of their new premises. This kind of support will allow us to continue to push the boundaries of urological cancer research, treatment and raising awareness in the North East of Scotland”.
Bill Bayliss commented on the night, “This is a very exciting time for ICR and I was delighted so many of our staff, clients and key contacts took the time to celebrate with us. Simply, we want to use new home base to export our services as we continue to strengthen our global position”.
