On Friday, September 3 local businesses joined Aberdeen FC (AFC) for the inaugural By Official Appointment (BOA) Golf Day at Newmachar Golf Club.
The event brought together representatives from some of the 80+ businesses who are part of the initiative to network with each other and members of the AFC Commercial department.
With prizes for best exhibitor stand in the networking lounge to an Audi Q2 S-Line up for grabs for a hole in one out on the course; both golfers and networking attendees alike had a tee-rific day.
BOA business members participated in a Stableford Event on the Swailend course or enjoyed a networking lunch at the Club House with the opportunity to browse the exhibition stands and try their hand at the driving range and state of the art golf simulator.
B2B sales manager Adam Sinclair commented, “After 18 months video calls and no face-to-face interactions with our members we were delighted to welcome so many members to our inaugural golf event.
“Not only was it great to see people out on the course enjoying themselves but it was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to meet and make the most of some in-person networking; one member even made two sales on the day.
“The pandemic has had detrimental effects on local businesses and through BOA we want to help as many of them as possible on the road to recovery. Whether that is through our new website, built specifically for our members, or through networking opportunities like this one.”
Hosts for the day, and new BOA members, Newmachar Golf Club’s George Forbes had this to add, “A great day of golf and networking; a fantastic turnout at what I can only describe as an outstanding golf and networking day.”
