Twenty-three speakers and 250 attendees are gathering in Aberdeen this weekend to bridge the gap between research and practice in education.

Researchers, teachers, school leaders, academics, policy-makers and education authors feature across the exciting researchED Scotland programme taking place at Robert Gordon’s College, Schoolhill on Saturday 19th November 2022.

Kirsten Colquhoun, Event Organiser said: "We are delighted with the response to this event so far. Our speakers are passionate about sharing their work to support a research-informed approach, which embraces expertise, evidence and collaboration."

Bringing the conference to Aberdeen, Robin Macpherson, Head of Robert Gordon’s College shared: “This demonstrates that there is a genuine enthusiasm in the Scottish teaching profession to be evidence-informed in their practice. I believe that researchED has been one of the most positive developments in global education in the past decade, and we’re delighted to bring it to Aberdeen. What started as a grassroots movement in London a few years ago has rapidly become a global movement, so we are now a part of that which is really exciting. The calibre of speakers, from Scotland and abroad, will make for a fascinating mix of ideas on the day.”

Tickets are available to book online, including student rates and a lower price for those struggling with the cost of living, at https://researched.org.uk/event/researched-aberdeen.

The education conference has featured in London, Amsterdam, Philadelphia, Cape Town, Chile, Dubai, Geneva, Melbourne, Toronto and many more locations throughout the world. researchED is a grass-roots, teacher led organisation founded in 2013 and has grown from a tweet to an international conference movement.
