At Aramex, driving positive change goes far beyond freight transport and logistics.
As a global business Aramex has an obligation to not only connect businesses with its services but the communities alongside them, therefore Aramex is passionate about investing in the foundation of its future generations. Aramex is supporting the foundation trust of its close customer Children’s Salon.
From the first week in October, Aramex has three members of its UK team visiting the Brightlingsea Academy, a school in Kumasi, Ghana. Throughout the last year, Aramex has been investing in educational resources, infrastructure, and clothing whilst also enabling local charity Porridge & Pens to create a better, richer learning environment for hundreds of young students. This has included helping improve the school, the construction of a nearby bridge and other service improvements.
Over the last few months Aramex and its UK team have been busy raising funds to help support these charity projects as well as provide clothing donations through unwanted package returns. UK Director Luke Croome, and colleagues Sahar Assi and Charan Grewal have been integral in leading the partnership and will depart this Sunday on a week of learning, engaging and development with the children and charity staff of the academy. The visit marks the 10th anniversary of the construction of the school.
For the team and investment, the support is about being a sustainable partner to people and their infrastructure, thus this being a long-term partnership.
