A young family in Aberdeen have become the very first residents of David Wilson Homes’ new Otter Stone Manor development in Dyce after falling in love with the home at first sight.
35-year-old Piotr Bach, his wife Milena (32) and their four-year-old son Alan, were the first residents to call Otter Stone Manor ‘home’ after moving into their brand-new four bedroom house in September 2025.
“We’d been renting locally for years after moving to Aberdeen from Poland,” said Piotr. “When we finally felt ready to put down permanent roots, friends recommended Otter Stone Manor. We had a look online and decided to book a viewing and everything changed from there.”
For the Bach family, the decision to buy their first home was helped along by the smallest member of the family. “At the end of the viewing, our son turned to us and said the house was amazing and he wanted to stay,” Piotr laughed. “That was it. The decision was made. It was the first and only house we viewed.”
Despite being instantly impressed, Piotr initially doubted whether the Dalmally home would be within their budget. However, after speaking to Katie Emslie, Sales Adviser at Otter Stone Manor, they soon realised their dream home could become a reality.
“Katie was fantastic,” he added. “She answered every question, eased our worries, and put us in touch with a solicitor and mortgage advisor who were equally helpful. The house is a good price for the area and is visually more to our taste than where we were renting previously just a few streets over.”
Piotr, a software engineer, and Milena, a nail technician, were also drawn to the home due to its sizeable garden, spacious living areas and exterior aesthetics. The garage has provided Piotr with a space of his own, while Alan has a dedicated playroom for all his toys and Milena enjoys relaxing in the generous living room.
The impressive Dalmally family home also features an open-plan kitchen that is filled with natural light and flows into the garden. The kitchen includes dedicated dining and family areas, along with a convenient adjoining utility room. Upstairs, there are four double bedrooms, including the main bedroom with its own en suite, plus a family bathroom with a shower.
With Piotr working from home, the multi-purpose rooms in the Dalmally home have offered him the ideal office space to work comfortably throughout the day.
Having settled in since September, the Bach’s are now busy adding personal touches and creating memories.
“The best part about the move has been seeing how much it means to Alan. He is so happy in our new home and was excited to tell his friends all about the house. Knowing he played a role in finding our family home has made the whole experience extra special. Now, we can’t wait to meet the neighbours to share the development with!”
