AberNecessities is delighted to announce Ithaca as the headline sponsor of it’s much loved Christmas campaign – No Child Should Go Without Believing in Magic.

Ithaca’s generous donation of £20,000 will assist the charity in bringing joy and festive magic to local children who would otherwise not experience all the wonder the season has to offer.

On top of this outstanding support, Ithaca have donated a further £4,150 towards the charity’s campaign No Child Should Go Without a Hero. This will support families fleeing domestic abuse and restarting their lives. Sadly, 15% of applications to AberNecessities are as a result of domestic violence. This is a much needed donation which will offer comfort to families at a very traumatic time, especially as the festive season is upon us.

Through the Christmas Eve Box’s gifted, the charity aims to gift essential items such as warm pyjamas, fluffy socks and toiletries alongside festive treats, crafts and toys to bring a little Christmas magic not only to the children but to create happy family moments which so many are going without. With the rising costs of living continuing to disproportionately affect families, the support of AberNecessities is needed more than ever.

Danielle Flecher-Horn, Founder of AberNecessities said: "I am overwhelmed by Ithaca’s generosity. It is truly humbling that not only as an organisation but as individual employees they truly believe that no child should go without believing in magic. On behalf of all of the children and families we will support this year, thank you so very much."

A spokesperson from Ithaca said: "We are delighted to provide support to AberNecessities’ ‘Believe in Magic’ campaign. Beyond our Holiday Hero and Santa’s Sleigh donation, teams from across Ithaca Energy have proudly committed their time to the Winter campaign through volunteering at AberNecessities Christmas HQ and generously donating to the Giving Tree appeal. We share the charity’s vision of creating a brighter, warmer and more magical season for local children and it’s an honour to support their fantastic work and show consideration for the community this Christmas."

AberNecessities is calling on individuals and businesses to join them alongside Ithaca in spreading festive cheer. Each donation will go a long way in supporting the charity as they face a growing demand at the busiest time of the year.
