VSA, the social care charity supporting people across Aberdeen and the North-East of Scotland, is celebrating the arrival of a new minibus for its Linn Moor School and Campus, thanks to the generous support of John Clark Motor Group and its supplying dealer, Clark Commercials - the official Volkswagen Van Centre for north-east Scotland.
Linn Moor School and Campus is a specialist educational and residential facility on the outskirts of Aberdeen that supports 26 children and young people with complex additional support needs, autism and learning difficulties.
The new minibus will provide vital, reliable transport for pupils, helping them access educational trips, community activities and experiences beyond the school campus.
For the young people supported by Linn Moor, the vehicle represents far more than simply a means of getting from A to B. It will help create opportunities to explore, learn and participate in activities in the wider community, with the minibus described as a “lifeline” for the school, the children and young people it supports.
The donation forms part of a longer-term commitment from John Clark Motor Group and Clark Commercials to support Linn Moor School, with the partnership expected to continue for the next 4-5 years.
Anna Garden, Operations Director at VSA, says, “We are incredibly grateful to John Clark for their generous donation of a minibus to VSA's Linn Moor School.
Elaine MacGregor, Administration Team Leader at Linn Moor School, Phil Smart, Commercials Head of Business at John Clark Motor Group & Greig Slatter, Business Development Manager at VSA.

For Linn Moor, this really is a lifeline, and we’re looking forward to seeing the many opportunities it will help create for our young people over the years ahead.
“VSA is committed to helping every child reach their full potential and partnerships such as this make a lasting difference to the lives of the children and families we support.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone at John Clark for their generosity and ongoing commitment to VSA.”
Victoria Barry, Group Charity Co-ordinator at John Clark Motor Group says, “We are delighted to be able to provide VSA with this new vehicle and to support the outstanding work they do within our communities. Knowing that the vehicle will help students and service users access activities, outings, and opportunities that enhance their wellbeing makes this partnership particularly meaningful.
We are proud to continue our long-standing relationship with VSA and look forward to seeing the positive difference the vehicle will make.”
With the keys now handed over, the team at Linn Moor is looking forward to putting the new vehicle to good use and making the most of the opportunities it will bring to the school and its pupils.
