J+S Subsea is proud to announce the promotion of Matthew to the role of sustainable supply chain manager, marking a significant step forward in the company’s ongoing mission to embed sustainability, innovation, and circularity into every part of its operations.
Matthew has been a dedicated and highly valued member of the J+S Subsea team, consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership, initiative, and forward-thinking. His strong grasp of supply chain complexities, coupled with a passion for driving sustainable change, makes him the ideal candidate for this key role.
As sustainable supply chain manager, Matthew will lead the development and implementation of sustainability strategies across J+S Subsea’s procurement, supplier partnerships, and logistics functions. His work will focus on embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles throughout the supply chain, ensuring that every stage — from sourcing and component selection to delivery and asset management — supports the company’s vision for a low-carbon, resource-efficient future.
At the heart of Matthew’s new role is the award-winning Legacy Locker initiative — J+S Subsea’s flagship programme that redefines how the industry manages ageing, surplus, and obsolete subsea equipment. By identifying, refurbishing, and repurposing equipment that would otherwise be scrapped, the Legacy Locker creates tangible environmental and commercial value, reducing waste, shortening lead times, and helping clients avoid unnecessary new manufacturing. Matthew will play a pivotal role in expanding the reach and impact of this programme, working with both established and new partners to extend its benefits across the offshore and renewables sectors.
Phil Reid, managing director at J+S Subsea, shared: “Matthew’s promotion is a reflection of his outstanding contributions and our broader commitment to placing sustainability at the core of everything we do. His leadership will be key in advancing the Legacy Locker initiative and ensuring we continue to provide innovative, environmentally responsible solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and the wider industry.”
We are confident that under Matthew’s stewardship, J+S Subsea will continue to lead the sector in developing sustainable supply chain practices and strengthening the circular economy within offshore energy.
Please join us in congratulating Matthew on this well-deserved achievement — we look forward to seeing his continued impact as he takes on this important role!
