Beloved British actress Jane Asher will star as the Queen alongside screen star Samantha Womack in regal drama By Royal Appointment at Aberdeen's His Majesty's Theatre in January.
Downton Abbey star David Robb and stage, television and film actor Matthew Cottle will also star in the smash hit play when it visits the city from Tuesday, January 12 to Saturday, January 16.
By Royal Appointment is a behind the scenes peek into the world of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the image she presented to the world, written by Daisy Goodwin who created the hit ITV series Victoria.
Aberdeen Performing Arts Chief Executive, Sharon Burgess, said: "This new play is a warm and funny ode to the late Queen's reign, taking us on a witty, whistlestop tour through the decades via the lens of her outfit choices and relationship with her dresser.
"With acting legend Jane Asher alongside the fabulous Samantha Womack we will be spoiled by the talent and grace on the HMT stage throughout this run, and we can't wait to welcome the whole cast and crew to Aberdeen this coming January."
