US vice president JD Vance is having breakfast with Nigel Farage this morning in the Cotswolds.

Vance and his family are in the UK enjoying a summer holiday, but he has also been mixing business with pleasure with a number of meetings with political figures.

Having gone fishing with foreign secretary David Lammy at the weekend, Vance will this morning share breakfast with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.

Vance also met with shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick, a former condidate for the Tory leadership, which led to speculation he had snubbed a meeting with the now party leader Kemi Badenoch, The Times reports.

However Vance's press secretary Taylor Van Kirk was swift to address this, stating: “The vice-president met with a number of people during his trip to the United Kingdom. He specifically tried to see Kemi Badenoch, a friend of his, but a meeting was not possible due to their conflicting schedules. Any suggestion otherwise is false.”
