Robertson Granite is proud to celebrate another significant milestone as Storeman and Granite Operative Jim Reid marks 40 years of dedicated service.
Jim joined the company on 27th August 1986 after being made redundant from his previous job. He started working in the granite factory and developed various skills before accepting a role as storeman following the retirement of a fellow colleague.
Jim quickly showed an aptitude for managing the stock of various working materials, machinery spares, consumables and maintaining the corresponding administration. He also showed an aptitude for dealing with the public and has helped to operate their retail sales office on Saturdays.

The year 2026 also marks another major milestone: 150 years of Robertson Granite / Robertson Memorials manufacturing granite memorials and providing monumental services to both the trade and the public. Together, these anniversaries highlight the company’s long-standing heritage and the enduring dedication of its people.
