Jumpstart wins radio forth’s best workplace award

Jumpstart, the Edinburgh-headquartered Research and Development (R&D) tax credits expert, has won the Forth Best Workplace Award.

The company was joined by stars of stage, screen and rugby pitch at the Usher Hall for the 14th annual awards, held by Radio Forth on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Jumpstart, established less than a decade ago, has recovered over £100m in R&D tax relief from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for UK businesses and is a UK market leader in guiding businesses through the complexities of the process.

Scott Henderson, managing director of Jumpstart, said: “We are very pleased to have been recognised for our commitment to a healthy working environment, and an inclusive space where we can work towards getting the best for our clients.”

Mr Henderson said: “For me, an award like this is that it goes to the heart of the culture of a business - which then flows through everything we do. It is a key part of our brand, and our customers’ experience, that we are inclusive, receptive to new ideas, and ready to disrupt old ideas.”

Earlier this year Jumpstart opened an operation in the West Midlands, aimed at helping engineering firms to unlock millions in tax credits. The company prides itself on being a market ‘disrupter’ and currently has 43 staff, with 14 technical analysts, more than half of whom boast PhDs in specialist fields.
