Anderson Anderson & Brown LLP (AAB), has announced a number of significant promotions and appointments as a result of continuous growth and a clutch of new client wins across the firm, both in the UK and overseas.
Joining the firm are directors Kevin Meaney and Helen Brown. Kevin’s particular area of expertise is within providing accounting and advisory advice and support to entrepreneurial clients in numerous different areas. This has been gained from senior roles with HM Revenue & Customs and within practice, at Big Four, national and independent firms.
Helen has re-joined the firm, having previously trained and qualified with AAB, before gaining significant industry experience, most recently at Aker Solutions, where she was responsible for all taxes including reporting, compliance, advisory and strategic tax matters including customs duties. Her focus at AAB will be on international tax.
Within the existing team, Gary Johnstone has been promoted to director. Gary has played an integral part of the development of the Payroll & Employment Taxes team which has evolved from providing payroll services to providing extensive employer-related advisory and compliance services across employment taxes (both UK and overseas), expatriate taxes, employee benefits and he himself has had a particular focus on growing the firm’s global mobility service including a unique global tracking software solution.
Also within the team there have been three promotions to senior manager positions. Elizabeth Milne, in the accounting and business advisory team, Lisa Tait, a specialist in Inheritance Tax planning as well as the taxation of Trusts and Karen Groat in the global mobility team.
