With over 10 years’ experience with the US Forest Service as a wildland firefighter lead, Kirk and his wife relocated to Aberdeen from Idaho at the end of 2022.

He joined MRS Training and Rescue’s Bridge of Don centre in March 2023 as an Associate and then in September became a full time Trainer and Rescue Operative. He successfully applied for the position of Assistant Manager in November and took up his position just before Christmas.

He brings a wealth of emergency response and safety experience to the efficient running of the Aberdeen Training Centre.

Commenting on his new position, Kirk says: “I am excited about this new opportunity to help continue the growth and establishment of MRS Training and Rescue in Aberdeen. I have enjoyed being in an operational role within the emergency response and safety field the past decade, but am now looking forward to being in a position to influence the health and safety field from a managerial role, growing the business and still serving and providing health and safety.”
