celebrate the launch of the 2018 Taste of Grampian at Porterhouse Steak House, Thainstone Centre, Inverurie on Thursday, February 15 from 12.00noon - 2.30pm to hear first-hand the plans we have in store for the year ahead.
Now in its 19th year, the Taste of Grampian is firmly established as the most significant date in the local food and drink industry diary and a very important consumer event. The launch event will bring together the event sponsors, exhibitors, local food and drink producers, hoteliers, chefs and restauranteurs and will be a great platform for you to create new business contacts and share your passion with like-minded colleagues.
During the afternoon you will hear from Scotland’s new national chef and winner of BBC Masterchef: The Professionals 2016 Gary Maclean, executive director of ANM Group and chairman of Taste of Grampian John Gregor and chairman of Quality Meat Scotland Jim McLaren.
Gary is a major talent, a gentleman of the kitchen and a world class educator. An advocate for cooking fresh, nutritious and locally sourced food, Gary’s passion for education will help to promote the benefits that Scottish produce can have on a healthy diet and help to change our relationship with locally sourced and produced food.
John will share with you our exciting plans for this year’s event and Jim McLaren, chairman of Quality Meat Scotland, the proud title sponsor of Taste of Grampian under the Specially Selected Pork brand will ensure you leave with an understanding of what sets the Specially Selected Pork brand apart and all it stands for in terms of quality assurance and animal welfare.
Lunch will be prepared by Porterhouse Steak House head chef Victor Garcia using the finest local produce.
