Aberdeen based video production company Signal, has won 'Video Production Company of the Year'.

Founded in 2011, Signal Ltd specialises in the production of high-quality, imaginative video, animation, and digital content. As one of the UK’s leading corporate communications companies – with ample awards to prove it – the Aberdeen-based experts are well-versed in accurately portraying a brand’s core message, all while keeping audiences engaged and interested. Aiding medium to enterprise-sized organisations to create simple yet memorable marketing and promotional screen content that positively influences behaviours, Signal does not limit its services to those in the UK, instead working with a wide variety of clients across the world.

The team has travelled the globe, filming in the likes of Australia, Angola, France, Gabon, Norway, Oman, Singapore, Papa New Guinea, and the U.S., aiding businesses in sectors spanning from tourism and hospitality to sports and health and safety. Past clients have included Shell, NatWest, DP World, and Royal Caribbean Group.

Headquartered in Aberdeen, it’s no surprise Signal is a specialist in the energy industry too, with its first-rate team possessing a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of the sector’s operations and its sustainability-centred goals. Its past projects have seen the production house work closely with international energy company Equinor to shed light on Hywind Scotland – the world’s first floating offshore wind farm, as well as renewable energy experts ORE Catapult, who sought to showcase their latest innovative developments in the offshore wind turbine blade.

The judging panel was impressed with Signal’s comprehensive service model, which serves to meet the unique needs of its clients by encompassing all areas of video, animation, and digital production. Its expert team is able to take a central role in the creative development stage of a project, providing scriptwriting and storyboard services, as well as the lead on logistics and project management. As for the filming stage, Signal offers on-location and in-studio options, with its skilled film crew also certified for working offshore, possessing several drones in their arsenal for exceptional aerial filming. When it comes to post-production, the company further works with three in-house editing suites, using a combination of Blackmagic Resolve and Adobe Creative tools to ensure all the finer details, like colour grading, audio, and digital effects, come together perfectly.
