With two months to go until Aberdeen Restaurant Week, businesses are being urged to sign up to take part.
The popular initiative is making a welcome return to the city from July 15 to July 21 and organisers Aberdeen Inspired are on the lookout for restaurants to get involved.
More than 40 local businesses took part in the February edition of Aberdeen Restaurant Week which was embraced by the public and led to a large uplift in customer levels.
Nicola Johnston, evening and night-time economy manager of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “We got a fantastic response to Aberdeen Restaurant Week in February and can’t wait to bring it back to the city in July.
“Planning is well underway and we are encouraging restaurants, cafes and local businesses to take up the opportunity to be a part of this event. It had a hugely positive effect on restaurants involved previously and truly shines a spotlight on the wide variety of fantastic food establishments in Aberdeen.
“Our aim with Aberdeen Restaurant Week is to bring people into the city centre and encourage them to enjoy everything our city centre has to offer. That in turn is beneficial to traders and we would love to have even more restaurants embracing it.”
Andrew Leggat, Sales Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Aberdeen City Centre, is encouraging restaurants to get involved and take advantage of the initiative.
He said: “Aberdeen Restaurant Week again provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase Native Aberdeen along with other food establishments across the city, to share our new menu ideas and offerings with our diners. It is also a great chance for new openings to take part and gain some fantastic exposure through Aberdeen Inspired.”
New introductions from February’s ARW including tasting menus, drink pairing menus and afternoon teas will be returning, along with the traditional pricing structure of a two-course lunch priced at £10 per person and three-course dinner for £20 per person.
