Local firms acknowledged by Nordrop Limited for their Zero Emission commitments

Since March this year Nordrop Limited have been providing zero emission deliveries to customers throughout Aberdeen City and Shire. In partnership with Co-Wheels and using a Nissan env-200 van this has meant that almost 90% of Nordrop’s magazine, parcel and pallet deliveries in the area have been performed generating no exhaust fumes in.

To recognize the continued use of zero emission deliveries Nordrop has awarded 2 local companies certification highlighting that they have saved at least 100kg of CO2 gases from being pumped into the environment had identical deliveries been performed by a Transit Connect.

The certificates have been awarded to Gill Buyers of the publishers Trend Productions Ltd (left picture) and Margaret Hood of energy sector products and services provider MCM O’Drill (UK) Ltd based in the Bridge of Don (right picture).

Director Ronald Hardie states “Emission savings for jobs are being measured for all our clients and is frequently reported back so that they can see how they are helping the environment. I hope that by achieving the green entry level our clients will continue to use our delivery service towards the bronze, silver and gold awards. Since opting to offer an emissions free service in March 87% of our deliveries have been performed using an electric van which exceeds by far my initial expectation of 75%”
