Marks and Spencer Foodhall in Stoneywood is set to close after 10 years as bosses say the store is no longer viable.
The foodhall opened to customers in December 2016 as part of a major residential and commercial expansion in the area.
However, M&S bosses confirmed the branch will shut within the next three months stain that the store is no longer viable and did not align with the their vision for the brand.
In a statement to the P&J, Scott Munro, M&S regional manager, said: “The Stoneywood Foodhall has been part of north Aberdeen for ten years.
“Unfortunately, it is not viable to keep the store open as it does not align with our future store format vision and faces upcoming investment requirements that we must prioritise for long-term growth decisions.
The move comes a year after M&S closed its former flagship Aberdeen store on St Nicholas Street following the expansion of its Union Square branch.
