A popular Granite City hotel has secured a hat-trick of prestigious award wins following its third such success in recent months.
Macdonald Norwood Hall Hotel was named Wedding Venue of the Year (North) at the Scottish Wedding Awards 2018 in recognition of its celebrated customer service.
The latest success, which was announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, comes hot on the heels of two other similar honours.
In November, the business was crowned Wedding Venue – Aberdeen & Grampian at the Scottish VOWS Awards and Venue of the Year as part of the Top Tier Awards.
Ivan Franssen, general manager at Macdonald Norwood Hall Hotel, said: “It is a wonderful achievement to win any award, let alone three, and shows the high regard our weddings team is held in by brides, grooms and the rest of the industry for which we are extremely grateful.
“To clinch the hat-trick within the space of just a few months is an incredible feeling and provides a welcome boost to the entire team as we prepare for what is traditionally the busiest time of year for weddings.”
Built in 1881 on the site of the 15th century Pitfodels Castle, Macdonald Norwood Hall Hotel is Aberdeen’s country house in the city and offers 73 luxury bedrooms surrounded by breathtaking Scottish scenery.
Located within easy reach of Aberdeen city centre, the hotel boasts state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities and is perfect for business and leisure guests with family events including weddings catered for all year round.
In 2015, Macdonald Norwood Hall Hotel was named conference hotel of the year and wedding hotel of the year as part of the Scottish Hotel Awards, while Kenny McMillan won executive chef of the year at the same event.
