A leading North-east hotel is targeting a hat-trick of honours after being named as a finalist in an inaugural national awards contest.
Macdonald Pittodrie House, based at Chapel of Garioch, near Inverurie, has been shortlisted for three separate honours at the Creative Oceanic Hotel Awards Scotland.
The venue has been nominated for Hotel Team of the Year and Luxury Hotel of the Year, while general manager Kenny McMillan is up for Hotel GM of the Year.
Launched this year, the Hotel Awards Scotland recognises independently-owned local businesses to large chains that are helping drive tourism by offering visitors exceptional hospitality and unique Scottish experiences.
The winners of this year’s awards will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on Tuesday, October 1 at the Glasgow Marriot Hotel.
Kenny McMillan commented: “We’re thrilled to be a finalist at these national awards and it’s credit to the hard work of all our staff as they continue to go the extra mile for every single one of our guests that choose to visit Macdonald Pittodrie House.
“We’re extremely proud to have reached this stage and, with three awards up for grabs, we hope to do the north-east proud on the night. I am fortunate to have such a fantastic team supporting me every day and to win any of these awards would be deserved recognition for everything they do to make the hotel a success.”
Nestled at the foot of Bennachie, Macdonald Pittodrie House is an acclaimed four-star venue set within its own ancient grounds and offering breathtaking natural scenery, including woodland and gardens.
One of Scotland’s most historic destinations, the hotel’s picturesque setting within 2,400 acres of scenic estate land in the heart of rural Aberdeenshire makes it a popular choice for everything from family holidays and romantic breaks to corporate events and weddings.
With two AA Rosettes, the hotel’s acclaimed Mither Tap restaurant features traditional Scottish décor and is committed to providing the finest locally-sourced produce and ingredients.
