Local food ingredients manufacturer, Macphie is raising funds for its nominated charity, Alzheimer Scotland.
The 300 employees have been devoting their time, focus and at times physical strength, aiming to raise the £10,000 target.
From cycle and running challenges to quizzes, munro walking and leg-waxing, fudge making and raffles, the Macphie team has embraced the year of fundraising.
Chairman Alastair Macphie, said: “We are pleased to support Alzheimer Scotland as a relevant and worthwhile cause this year, and we know that many of our employees have been affected by dementia within their own families.
“There has been a variety of events in the busy fundraising calendar this year as we aim to raise £10,000 for Scotland’s leading dementia charity.”
Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Advisor Sarah Geoghegan, said: “We are so grateful to the support shown by all the Macphie employees and this funding will make such a difference to the families living locally with dementia.
“The funds will help support our dementia advisors, our 24-hour helpline, and a range of services provided locally to help people live better lives and not face dementia alone. Well done to all the Macphie management and staff for all their efforts”
Macphie will continue to fundraise for its charity of the year, Alzheimer Scotland until the end of March 2018 when the final amount raised will be announced.
