Maersk Training UK is thrilled to announce that it has secured a
three-year contract with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) to provide the
full suite of Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training courses supporting SGRE
sites in Aberdeen, Newcastle, Grimsby and East Anglia. This contract is a
significant achievement for the long-standing partnership between the two
companies, which has been successful for over a decade.
Matt
Scaum, SGRE said: “Siemens Gamesa are proud to award Maersk Training as one of
our key training partners for the next three years. Having worked together for 10
years this not only continues but also further strengthens the partnership
between both companies. Maersk scored highly in the recent tender, noting the
quality of their facilities and instructors in key strategic locations such as
Grimsby, Newcastle, Lowestoft and Aberdeen”.
Maersk
Training UK’s strategic expansion over recent years has been focused on the
growth of the offshore wind sector, providing a perfect solution for SGRE and
other major wind clients.
James
Costello, Senior Sales Manager, UK Renewables at Maersk Training UK said:
“In
the years I have been with the company our relationship with Siemens Gamesa has
been one of the closest I have experienced. From delivering SGRE-approved
technical training courses, supporting the delivery of safety training from the
SGRE training centre in Hull and working together on the development of bespoke
training courses I’m humbled by the faith Siemens Gamesa has placed in Maersk
Training as a training partner. It’s always a pleasure visiting the individual
training teams around the UK and formalising this relationship really is fantastic”.
Maersk
Training UK is committed to delivering high-quality training services to SGRE,
further enhancing its position as a leading provider of safety and technical
training excellence. The company looks forward to continuing its support for
SGRE and other major wind clients.
