You can even choose to do something very different – decide what you would like to do and ask your friends and family to sponsor you – just let them know and they will provide the sponsor form, t-shirt and all the encouragement you want!

Children’s Hospices Across Scotland, better known as CHAS, provide unwavering care for children who may die young and their families, at every step on this hardest of journeys. Helping them make the most of their time together no matter how short that might be.

This support is provided through two hospices, Rachel House and Robin House and in families’ homes and communities all across Scotland.

Here in Aberdeen, the CHAS at Home team support scores of families across the City and Shire. They have a dedicated team in the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, with a medical consultant, a specialist nurse and – new this year – a specialist social worker. They all work alongside the NHS to support families across the northeast. Yet the number of children in Scotland living with a life-shortening condition is going up, and they need more care.

As well as a hospital team, the CHAS at Home team in Aberdeen provides vital support for families who are often full-time carers for their child. The team visit families across the North East to help at home and provide respite care.

To continue to be there for the families that they support - they need your support – together you can make sure that no family faces the death of their child alone.

They work with lots of businesses across Scotland in a variety of different ways, tailored to suit them. To find out how your business can help then contact Alison who will tell your more about the fantastic work CHAS does and the real differences you can make to families lives.

Thank you!
