The sessions will enable employers and managers to create a greater awareness around alcohol and drugs in their workplace and provide them with the knowledge and skills to deal with issues as they arise.
The sessions have been designed by Alcohol Focus Scotland trainers and this session will be delivered by Alcohol Focus Scotland.
Managers and supervisors have a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of employees.
This training is designed to give information and guidance to employers to help deal with workplace issues on both alcohol and drugs.
Delivered through blended learning the course consists of an e-learning component followed by 3 hours face to face training.
It provides managers and supervisors with the information, knowledge and skills required to deal effectively with alcohol and drugs at work.
The e-learning component is referred to throughout the session and completion is required prior to attending.
On completing this course you will have:
- Increased your awareness of the impact of alcohol and drugs in Scotland and specifically in the workplace
- Increased your knowledge of the responsibilities of managers in dealing with alcohol and drugs at work
- Increased your skills, as a manager, in identifying and addressing alcohol and drug use at work.
