GB Energy's Aberdeen HQ will be in the heart of the city at Marischal Square, it has been revealed, with hundreds of jobs set to be created in the process.

Exclusively reported in the Press and Journal this morning, GB Energy bosses have reached an agreement with Aberdeen City Council for the lease of office space within Marischal Square.

The Granite City will be the firm's headquarters, with the new office basing as many as 300 staff.

GB Energy chief executive Dan McGrail said: “Thousands of engineers, innovators, and technicians call Aberdeen home.

“And that is why we are proud to make this city our home and become a part of the Aberdeen community.

“GB Energy will draw on the abundant local talent to provide investment and support for projects across the country.”

The office is expected to open later this year.
