Odfjell Technology is proud to announce that Mark Clayton has been named Safety Representative of the Year at the Energy Safety Awards 2026.
Organised jointly by Step Change in Safety and Offshore Energies UK (OEUK), the awards recognise individuals, teams and organisations making a positive difference to safety across the energy industry.
Mark was selected as the winner by delegates attending the event in recognition of his commitment to workforce engagement, hazard awareness and driving meaningful safety improvements. Through his role as an elected Safety Representative, he has encouraged open dialogue, supported colleagues in raising concerns and helped turn workforce observations into meaningful actions. His proactive approach has contributed to a positive safety culture where concerns are raised, discussed and addressed.
Mike Ewen, QHSE Manager at Odfjell Technology, said:
“Huge congratulations to Mark on winning this award and being recognised by his industry peers for the passion and diligence he brings to the Safety Representative role. The value that an engaged and motivated Safety Representative can bring to any organisation should never be underestimated, and Mark brings both in abundance.”
As Mark was unable to attend the ceremony, the award was accepted on his behalf by Ryan Alhambra-Ross, QHSE Advisor.
This recognition highlights Mark’s dedication to creating safer workplaces and reflects Odfjell Technology’s ongoing commitment to fostering a strong safety culture across its operations.
