M&S chief digital and technology officer Rachel Higham is leaving the company to take a "career break" just months after a devastating cyber attack rocked the retail giant.
Higham, who only started at M&S in early 2024, is now "stepping back from her role", an internal memo circulated on Thursday stated.
Sky News reports it said: "Rachel has been a steady hand and calm head at an extraordinary time for the business, and we wish her well for the future."
M&S was plunged into chaos in April when the Scattered Spider group launched its cyber attack, bringing its online operations to a shuddering halt.
In May it was reported M&S expected the incident to have a £300million hit on its accounts, although this was expected to be reduced through insurance cover and other trading measures.
